Resumption of meetings to discuss the attack on Congress January 6

Next Thursday, the hearing in the US Congress will resume to discuss the attack on Congress on January 6 following the defeat of former US President Donald Trump.
The hearing, slated for October 13 at 1 p.m., follows a hearing the committee postponed last week due to Hurricane Ian preparations.

The panel is having trouble summarising what Representative Jimmy Raskin (D-MD) called a new “collapse” of material about the Capitol Hill incident, and lawmakers have been refusing to hold what will likely be the panel’s final meeting before the November midterm elections.
The investigation team for the commission has had meetings with a number of former Trump administration officials, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

However, committee chair Penny Thompson stated he did not anticipate talks of the 25th Amendment would materially hinder the election of the former President Trump.

Meetings to discuss the attack on Congress will resume on January 6.
