23 hostages held by Boko Haram rescued in Nigeria

The remaining 23 victims of the terrorist attack on a train in Kaduna city were imprisoned by Boko Haram, but the Nigerian army intervened and freed them.
Othman Yousef, Secretary of the Working Committee of the Chief of Defense Staff, said that the hostages were released in the evening of October 5, 2022.
He claimed that on March 28, 2022, when terrorists attacked a commuter train in Kaduna, the commission located and freed the hostages that had been seized.

“We announce that the Chief of Defense Staff, General LEO Irabor, formed the seven-member Presidential Committee at 1600 (4:00 p.m.) today, Wednesday, 5-10-2022, to secure the release of all passengers, including the final 23 who were detained by Boko Haram following the attack on the Abuja to Kaduna train on March 28, 2022.

Nigeria saw the release of 23 hostages held by Boko Haram.
