The CAF made it possible for Morocco to compete with Algeria for the right to organise the 2025 African Nations in place of Guinea.
The Football Association was given the go-ahead by the authorities to submit a file to organise the competition, according to the Moroccan newspaper “Al-Mukhtab.”
After three years, the file to organise the African tournament was submitted with the president’s assent, according to the Algerian newspaper “Al-Shorouk.”
All African nations are eligible to submit nominations to host the competition, according to Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe at an official press conference.
In contrast, Giovanni Wannie, a Cameroonian football expert, said that the 2025 tournament would be the most intriguing in an interview with “Sky News Arabia.”
“The CAF deserves kudos for its daring action, it spotted the threat from a distance and averted it,” Giovanni continued.
Algeria or Morocco will compete in the 2025 event. Strong, fair competition exists between the two nations.

“As Algeria prepares to host the African Nations for Locals in 2023, Giovanni said: “What applies to Morocco applies to Algeria, and according to my sources in CAF, Algeria has a huge potential to win the organisation.”
