Earlier, the Thai police reported that a large fire had broken out inside a packed nightclub, killing around 13 people and wounding scores more.
According to a Thai police official, a fire that started in a nightclub in Chonburi province, southeast of the capital Bangkok, resulted in 13 fatalities and 35 injuries.
According to police colonel Wotipong Somjae, the fire started in the Mountain Bee nightclub in the Sattahip area at around one in the morning local time, and all of the victims have been identified as Thais so far.
Several young males ran outside the nightclub in “shocking” videos posted on social media as it was on fire.
