South Korea pledges to confront its northern neighbor through a “strong” tripartite alliance with America and Japan

After North Korea conducted another missile launch earlier in the day, South Korea’s President Yoon Seok-yeol vowed to safeguard the nation’s integrity through a solid alliance with the United States and Japan on Thursday.
According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, Yoon told reporters, “I realise people are worried, but our administration will fully care for people’s lives and safety through a strong alliance between South Korea, the United States, and Japan.”

Yoon also mentioned the Tuesday launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea, claiming that it was aimed at “striking strategic assets to be deployed on the Korean Peninsula” in case of an emergency.

Through a “strong” trilateral alliance with the United States and Japan, South Korea promises to challenge its northern neighbour.
