Zakharova on the historical level of the American debt: “evidence of exceptionalism”

Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, mocked US data indicating that the US government’s debt has risen to a historic $31 trillion level.
The Russian official stated in a post on her channel in the “Telegram” programme today, Wednesday, “The federal debt of the United States has exceeded $31 trillion, which is a real indicator of exceptionalism.”

The US national debt has surpassed $31 trillion for the first time in history, according to data from the US Treasury.
The United States owed a total of 31 trillion dollars, 123 billion 887 million, 781 thousand, 401 dollars, and 34 cents as of October 3, 2021. Individuals own the majority of the debts, totaling more than 24 trillion dollars, with the US owing about 7 trillion dollars to foreign governments.
