Following the Russian energy firm “Gazpromannouncement “‘s that gas deliveries to Italy via Austria had resumed, natural gas prices plummeted across Europe.
Additionally, the “Bloomberg” news agency stated that the prices of the reference gas futures contracts decreased by 3.1% today, Wednesday, retreating from their initial advances.
Today, in response to regulatory changes in Austria at the end of September that cut off supply to Italy, Gazprom announced via its Telegram channel that it “managed, in partnership with Italian buyers, to find a solution.”
Eni, an Italian energy corporation, had previously stated that it was willing to give up guarantees in exchange for Austria allowing gas to be delivered to Italy.
With Russian supplies returning to Italy via Austria, gas prices in Europe are decreasing.
