Australia pledges 30%

Australia has committed at least 30% of its land to the preservation and protection of its distinctive flora and animals.
Tuesday marked the official unveiling of a 10-year plan by Minister Tania Plibersek, with objectives to stop any more extinctions of plants and animals while also reversing the decline of 110 species, among the most.

“After a decade of neglect, there has been no need to do more than ever to conserve our local flora and wildlife,” said Bleibersk. “Concentrating these species and sites will also lead to an outpouring of benefits to other plants and animals that are endangering the same ecosystems.
Despite recent increases in population, it is important to note that Australia is home to rare wildlife including koalas, platypus, and bilbi.
