A military recruiter in a part of Russia’s Far East was suspended as a result of errors that resulted in the incorrect mobilisation of thousands of individuals to fight in Ukraine.
The governor of the Khabarovsk area, Mikhail Degtyarov, said in a video on Telegram that Yuri Laiko had been suspended from his duties. “This won’t have any impact on the objective that the president has set for us.

He didn’t say why he was suspended specifically, just that there were a few mistakes involved.
“Thousands of residents were summoned and went to military centres within ten days. Because they do not match the requirements to join the army, we sent around half of them home, Degtyarov continued.

A military official was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying that the soldier who had been suspended from duty had been moved to the same facility in the Magadan area as the military commissioner had been let go last week owing to mistakes made during mobilisation.
According to the TASS news agency, an official acknowledged that some 300 men were unintentionally summoned and sent to their homes in Yakuti, a sizable territory in eastern Siberia.

Resentment and the response of the authorities were sparked by the summoning of elderly people, students, ill, and those without military experience.
Last week, Vladimir Putin made a call to “address the mistakes” brought on by the mobilisation that led to unrest in Russia and the exodus of thousands of men.

Russia suspends a military official due to the summons to mobilization’s faults.
