Maradona’s shirt decorates the Qatar exhibition before the 2022 World Cup

The “World of Football” exhibition was inaugurated and will run through April 1, 2023, according to the Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum 3-2-1, and it will commemorate the first Middle Eastern World Cup to be held in Qatar in 2022.

The exhibition’s best new item is the shirt worn by late Argentine legend Diego Armando Maradona during his two-goal performance against England in the quarterfinal of the 1986 World Cup, which gave his nation a two-goal victory.
The jersey, which at the time was the most expensive piece of sports memorabilia ever bought, was loaned to the gallery after being sold at auction in May 2022.

The display also features the clothes worn by several illustrious football referees and other legendary athletes.

Before the 2022 World Cup, Qatar will host an exhibition of Maradona memorabilia.
