Al-Madina News: According to social media footage, rights organisations, and reports of increased fatalities and harsh repression by security forces employing tear gas, batons, and occasionally live ammunition, protests have continued for a third week in a row.
Following the passing of Mahsa Amini, university students in Iran persisted in their protests against the suppression and use of force to disperse demonstrations.

Following violence against demonstrators, Sharif University in Tehran cancelled classes. In western Iran’s Kermanshah, student demonstrations also began.

According to Iran International and the Federation of Country University Councils on Telegram, the Iranian security forces detained between 30 and 40 Sharif University of Technology students on Sunday night. She continued by saying that students were assaulted in the university’s parking area by armed men dressed in civilian clothing and security officers. According to some stories, security personnel attacked several teachers at this university.

In the midst of ongoing, widespread protests in Iran and internationally following the death of Mahsa Amini while in the care of an extension patrol, Sharif University of Technology saw student meetings and demonstrations on Sunday.
