Indian fighter jets launched after bomb threat on Iranian airline flight

After a bomb threat was made against an Iranian airline flight, which was ultimately disregarded, India’s air force said on Monday that it had launched fighters.
After learning that a bomb threat was being made against an Iranian airline flight, the Indian Air Force said that it had temporarily despatched combat aircraft.

The Delhi police got a message from the Iranian Mahan plane at 9:20 today citing a bomb threat, and the pilot of the jet requested an emergency landing at New Delhi Airport, according to the Iranian Mehr news agency.
The Indian Air Force then claimed in a statement that it had learned from Tehran that the situation had been overlooked, and the aeroplane had continued on its course.

The bomb threat on the Iranian airline flight prompted the launch of Indian fighter fighters.
