British Conservative Party conference opens with a tribute to the late Queen

On the opening day of the conference, members of the British Conservative Party observed a moment of silence in memory of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the prime minister entered the room to applause from the audience before being welcomed by Flor Butler, chairwoman of the Conservative National Conference, according to BA Media.
Penny Mordaunt, speaker of the House of Commons, also paid tribute to the late Queen.
