Osasuna imposes a draw on Real and gives Barcelona the lead

After forcing a favourable 1-1 draw on Sunday in the seventh stage of the Spanish Football League, Osasuna ended Real Madrid’s train of victories in various competitions during the current season.
Real stayed in second place in the standings of the competition with 19 points, trailing leader Barcelona by a goal difference but tied with him in the standings, while Osasuna improved to 13 points in sixth place.

Due to the injury that forced Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois out of the game and the absence of his French star Karim Benzema from his fans for a while, Real Madrid did not perform as their fans had expected, and their players appeared to be performing at a level that was significantly below normal, costing the royal team the first two points in their league career in Spain this season.

Real struck in the 42nd minute through Brazilian superstar Vinicius Junior, but the white squad was unable to capitalise on their sizeable advantage as Kiki equalised in the 51st.
After Benzema missed a penalty kick in the 79th minute and Osasuna defender David Garcia was sent off, Real was unable to retake the advantage.

The Real seemed poised to continue its winning ways this season after winning all nine of its opening games across all competitions, but its Basque rival’s bravery put an end to that run.

Real is forced to a draw against Osasuna, and Barcelona takes the lead.
