The Sultanate of Oman launches an investment bid for the development, management and operation of a port in the Governorate of Dhofar

The Sultanate of Oman started submitting investment proposal requests today, on Sunday, for the construction, management, and operation of Dhalkut Port in the Dhofar Governorate, with a deadline of this month’s 16th.

In accordance with the government’s plan to develop Omani ports dispersed along the Sultanate of Oman’s coasts, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology announced the opening of the bid. It stated that the bid was directed at local and foreign companies and investors with expertise in the development, management, and operation of ports, and requested that they submit their investment proposals in accordance with the requirements outlined in the bidding document.

This suggestion fits in with the ministry’s efforts to achieve economic diversification, the objectives set to promote and develop the logistics sector in a sustainable and integrated manner, and to put into action ambitious plans to enhance the administrative, organisational, and operational effectiveness of the ports of the Sultanate of Oman.

In order to create, administer, and operate a port in the Governorate of Dhofar, the Sultanate of Oman submits an investment proposal.
