Before the Zoom video conferencing programme made it possible to exchange links to promote group chats through conferencing, conducting group conversations through digital messaging applications was difficult.
Now, WhatsApp, a social networking software, intends to help its users have group talks without requiring them to collect many phone numbers or set up a group chat room on the programme.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of the Meta Platforms group, which owns WhatsApp, “we have launched chat links on WhatsApp starting this week, so you can subscribe to a link to start a group conversation in one step.”
WhatsApp permits link-based group chats.
