Death toll in Indonesia soccer stadium accident rises to 174

Today, Sunday, Sky News Arabia reported that there have now been 174 fatalities as a result of the soccer stadium tragedy in Indonesia.
Following the derby game on the island of Java, unrest resulted in more than 120 fatalities, including children and security personnel, and 180 injuries, according to the Indonesian police.
The league games were postponed for a week while the incident was investigated by the Indonesian authorities.

Arima and Persibaya Surabaya supporters reportedly fought after Arima lost 3-2 to Persibaya Surabaya in the match played in Malang Regency, Java.
After their side lost, many of Arima fans flocked to the field to celebrate. The Persibaya players immediately departed the field, but many of the Arima players who were still there were attacked as well.

Numerous people reportedly died as Kanjuruhan Stadium spectators panicked as police shot tear gas into crowded stands.
Due to the terrible tragedy, the authorities declared that the Indonesian league would be suspended for one week.

174 people have died as a result of the Indonesia soccer stadium catastrophe.
