At “dawn on Saturday,” Indonesian media reported that unrest at a football game resulted in the deaths of 127 persons and the injuries of 180 more.
The rioting at Malang’s Kanjuruhan Stadium resulted in the deaths of 127 Arima club supporters, including two police officers, according to the newspaper “Detikjatim.”
East Java Police Chief Nico Aventa informed reporters that “127 persons were slain,” including two police officers.

The remaining deaths occurred in hospitals as a result of the rescue effort, he continued, while 34 individuals perished at the stadium.
The chaos allegedly started when fans invaded the stadium following their team’s defeat to Persibaya, according to Indonesian media.
