Algeria announces its candidacy to host the 2025 African Nations after withdrawing it from Guinea

The Algerian Football Association’s president, Djahid Zvizef, declared his nation’s interest in hosting the 2025 African Cup of Nations finals on Saturday night.
Guinea will no longer host the 2025 African Nations Cup as a result of its lack of readiness, according to South African Patrice Motsebe, president of the Confederation of African Football.

In his address prior to the 2023 African Championship for Local Players draw, which will be held by Algeria, Zvezev stated, “We announce our candidacy to host the 2025 African Nations Championship.”
The similar situation had occurred with the 2019 edition, and CAF was forced to move the organisation from Cameroon to Egypt a few months prior to the commencement of the competition.

Despite having won the right to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations, the African Union chose to take the tournament’s file out of Guinea’s hands.
Furthermore, according to press reports, South Africa, Algeria, and Morocco are the most likely candidates to host the 2025 African Nations.

After withdrawing from Guinea, Algeria announces its bid to host the 2025 African Union summit.
