EU leaders discuss infrastructure security after Nord Stream line leaks

After two Nord Stream pipelines under the Baltic Sea were damaged, which European officials have characterised as sabotage, Charles Michel, the president of the European Council, stated on Saturday that this weekend, EU leaders will examine the security of their essential infrastructure.
“The European Union is in danger if the Nord Stream pipes are sabotaged. We’re committed to protecting our vital infrastructure.

Leaders will discuss this at the forthcoming summit in Prague, Michel tweeted after his conversation with Mette Frederiksen, the prime minister of Denmark.
On October 7, leaders of the European Union are expected to gather in the Czech capital.
