The start of the trial operation of compressors for a gas plant in the south of the central region was announced by Syria’s Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources.
According to the Ministry of Oil, “the project consists of 4 compressors operated by 4 gas turbines, with a combined daily capacity of 2 million cubic metres of gas for each compressor.
According to the ministry, the operation of these compressors would help restart several blocked wells and increase gas production by around 500,000 m3 per day. It is anticipated that the compressors’ actual work will start in two weeks.
