For the first time since spring 2020, the “OPEC +” alliance meets in Vienna

Next Wednesday will mark the “first time since March 2020” since the Covid-19 epidemic’s appearance as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies in the “OPEC Plus” coalition convene in Vienna.

The 13 “OPEC” members, led by Saudi Arabia, and their 10 allies, led by Russia, are meeting, according to a statement from the coalition, amid reports of massive production cuts in response to concerns about a worldwide economic downturn.
