Iran.. Revolutionary Guards intelligence chief killed in Balochistan

News from Al-Madina: In skirmishes in Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeast Iran, an intelligence officer of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards was killed, according to official Iranian media today, Friday.
Additionally, earlier today, the Iranian Ministry of Security reported the recent arrests of 77 Kurdish groups, nine foreigners, and 49 members and associates of the People’s Mojahedin Organization.

In addition, dozens of people died and were hurt as a result of the protests that broke out in various parts of Iran about two weeks ago in response to the death of Mahsa Amini, a young woman, who died while in custody after being detained by the morality police who claimed she did not follow the law regarding the veils.

Her passing sparked outrage in Iran over a number of issues, including personal freedom restrictions and stringent dress codes for women, as well as the country’s ongoing living and economic crisis. This is in addition to the strict regulations imposed by the regime and the country’s political system as a whole. Women took a significant role in those demonstrations, and demonstrators waved and torched their headscarves.

It was reported that 1,500 people were killed (according to Reuters) in crackdowns against protesters during the recent demonstrations that swept through dozens of cities across the nation and still include people of all races and socioeconomic classes. These demonstrations were the largest since the protests against fuel prices in 2019.
