Russia vetoes a UN resolution condemning its annexation of Ukrainian territory

As was predicted, Russia rejected a draught UN Security Council resolution that would have condemned Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian land as a breach of international law.
The agreement, which was submitted jointly by the United States and Albania in New York on Friday, received support from ten nations. The document also demands that Russia leave Ukraine right away.
Four of the 15 member states in the council, which is the most important UN body, chose not to participate in the vote.

China, India, Brazil, and Gabon are the countries that did not participate.

A UN resolution denouncing Russia’s takeover of Ukrainian land is rejected by Russia.
