With an area of no more than 26 square kilometres and a population of no more than 12,000, the islands of Tuvalu are the third- and fourth-smallest sovereign countries in the world, respectively.

A virtual replica of those little islands may be made with the same details of neighbourhoods, streets, and beaches, as well as being rich in the scrumptious habits and heritage of its inhabitants, according to the British publication The Guardian. However, there is no way to save this small state.
Isilalofa Abinelo, the current High Commissioner for Fiji and a former attorney general of Tuvalu, stated during a symposium on the condition of the Pacific that Tuvalu needed “something they can grasp on to.”

The Meta business, which owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, recently announced plans to create an electronic version of “Metafris.”
At the Pacific Management Conference at the Australian National University, Abinelo said, “When that ultimately happens and Tuvalu goes, its people will have nothing except the virtual world… so we should always be able to remember Tuvalu as it is.

She urged the international community, in particular Australia, to grant easy access to their property to Tuvaluans so they can look into alternative residences before the rising tide compels them to migrate.

This lovely nation will soon vanish from the world’s photos.
