Morocco cancels presentation of certificate of vaccination against Covid-19 to enter its territory

According to the National Airports Office, Morocco declared on Friday that it will no longer require travellers entering its territory to show proof of vaccination against the Covid-19 epidemic or a negative PCR test.
The office announced on Twitter that as of today, the health limitations (PCR examination and vaccination passport) imposed upon entering Moroccan territory have been eliminated.

On the other hand, travellers entering the Kingdom are required to “show a health card” at the country’s airports. It is a form that has been posted to the office’s website and contains some traveler-related data.
Since Morocco’s airspace was reopened to international aircraft in February, those limits had been placed on visitors arriving in the country. A choice that enabled the key tourism industry of the Moroccan economy to recover throughout the summer.

According to the Airports Office, the Kingdom’s airports have recently returned to normal operation, handling more than 12 million passengers until late August, or 74% of those who arrived during the same time period in 2019.
It is hoped that the most recent judgement will help to accelerate the tourism industry’s revival.

According to the most recent monthly bulletin of the Ministry of Health, the outbreak has been “weakly spreading” in Morocco for the past five weeks at a pace of “less than one infection per 100,000 persons each week.”
According to official statistics, the third dose was administered to more than 18% of the Kingdom’s population, or over 6.8 million people.

The state of health emergency was extended by the government on Thursday until the end of October, enabling the authorities to take extraordinary action against the pandemic.

Morocco no longer accepts Covid-19 vaccination certificates as entry requirements.
