Iran..Security forces fleeing protesters (video)

Media sites aired footage of Iranian security officers escaping in front of demonstrators in the Azeri region of Ardabil as the demonstrations in Iran entered their third week.
On Friday, protests broke out in a number of Iranian cities. In Ahvas, there was a sizable gathering, and in Ardabil, in northwest Iran, people screamed, “Death to the dictator,” in reference to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

A video footage of the police forces in Ardabil fleeing in large numbers from the protesters was widely shared by local media and social media pioneers in Iran.
For a third week, demonstrations over Mahsa Amini’s death at the hands of Tehran’s “morality police,” who imprisoned her before announcing her passing on September 16, have continued throughout Iran.

Amnesty International, on the other hand, claimed in a statement that Iran’s government intended to “systematically repress the protests at whatever cost.”
She cited proof that Iranian security forces had confronted the demonstrators with “lethal force” and weapons.
In an effort to squash any challenge to their control, she claimed, “Iranian authorities have mobilised their unruly law enforcement apparatus to ruthlessly smash rallies across the country.”

The killing of Mahsa Amini at the hands of police for not wearing the veil in a “acceptable” manner was denounced by Iran Human Rights, who also reported that 83 people were killed during the roughly two weeks of protests.
