According to news reports, Liz Terrace, the prime minister of Great Britain, will go to Prague on October 6 for the inaugural meeting of the European Political Group.
The Conservative Prime Minister plans to attend this summit since the energy and migration concerns on his agenda are among her priorities and necessitate collaboration with other European leaders, according to the British news agency “PA.”

The UK alerted European leaders that TRACE, which is facing a challenging internal scenario with its tax plan, not only intends to attend the conference on October 6 but also desires to host the following summit of this new European group in London, according to Politico’s website.

This choice was made despite Teres’s reservations about the European Political Group initiative put out by French President Emmanuel Macron in May while she served as foreign minister in Boris Johnson’s administration.
At the time, she stated, “I prefer to build on the systems that currently exist and are successful, whether it’s the G7 or NATO.
44 nations were invited to the inaugural gathering of the European political organisation, according to a European official.

Invitations were sent to the leaders of the 27 member states of the European Union, the candidate countries, and the neighbours of the union by European Council President Charles Michel and Czech Prime Minister Peter Viala, whose nation currently holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Along with the 27 EU members, the meeting was attended by the leaders of the six Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia), as well as representatives from the UK, Norway, Switzerland, Ukraine, Moldova, Iceland, Georgia, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Liechtenstein.

Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, will both be present for the first Heads of State and Government meeting, which will take place on October 6 in Prague before a summit of 27 nations on October 7.

Terrace will take part in the European Political Group’s inaugural meeting.
