The first British coin with the image of King Charles.. to commemorate Queen Elizabeth

The first coin featuring King Charles III’s likeness will be released by the Royal British Mint and will go into circulation on October 3.
A 50 pence coin will also be made available in addition to the commemorative coin, which will have a value of 5 pounds.
As was traditional with the depictions of kings on British coins, where each king differed from his predecessor in view, it features the profile of King Charles III, gazing to the left, in contrast to his late mother.

The coin’s reverse featured two pictures of Queen Elizabeth—one of her as a young woman and the other of her as an elderly woman—along with a decorative pattern in her honour.
The royal residence claimed that King Charles III personally approved of the coin’s and his profile’s designs.

The first British coin featuring King Charles was issued in honour of Queen Elizabeth.
