The head of the Independent High Commission for Elections in Tunisia, Farouk Bouach, opened today, Friday, the headquarters of the Media Coverage Monitoring Unit for the legislative elections scheduled for next December 17.
Bouachar said – in a statement today – that the unit consists of groups to monitor paper and electronic newspapers, audiovisual media, auditory media, social media and financing election campaigns, adding that those in charge of the unit have experience, which qualifies them to carry out their tasks to the fullest.
He stressed that the commission is committed to the election law, and it will apply it to everyone without exception, especially with regard to electoral crimes, according to the criminal regulations..
