Minister of Culture: We aim to restore 44 historical films in the coming months

Dr. Nevin Al -Kilani, Minister of Culture, said that the 44th session of the Cairo Film Festival witnessed a very important and project that will be worked on in the future, which is to restore and display old Egyptian films again.
Nevin Al -Kilani added, in a phone call to the “End of the Day” program broadcast on Al -Nahar channel, that the Cairo Film Festival witnessed the restoration of two films that were shown in the 44th session, and will be completed in the coming period.

The Minister of Culture continued: “We aim to return the Egyptian cinema to a place worthy of its history, and we have 44 historical films that need restoration and we will work on that during the coming months. ”
The minister explained: “The Al -Shaab Cinema Project is extremely important and we are working to publish it in all governorates, and Egypt has a conscious audience that accepts good art, and through the Ministry of Culture project we aim to uphold the authentic Egyptian values. “.
