Study: Fast walk enhances health after recovering from breast cancer

A new study revealed that breast cancer survivors may be able to prolong their lives, only through brisk walking every day, according to what was published by “Health”.
The study, published in Jama Network Open, showed that the value of regular exercises – including daily walking – is well known and one of the potential health benefits is the low risk of breast cancer.

The researchers found that among more than 300 women who survived breast cancer in its early stages, women who were practicing a 60 % less likely to die during the study period compared to women who were more active.
The researchers said that moderate exercises have a set of health benefits, including help control blood pressure, blood sugar and body weight. The new results indicate that women can reap these benefits after breast cancer as well.

Breast cancer can be treated significantly, especially when detected early among women who were diagnosed when cancer is confined to the breast, 99 % is still alive after five years, according to the American Cancer Society.
The study included 315 women who were diagnosed with breast cancer in its early stages at least two years ago, and they were at an average of 71 years at first, who reported their recent physical activity habits.

In general, 77 women have been considered moderately active, which means that they are events for activities such as brisk walking or cycling on most days of the week.
141 other women were more active because they preferred activities such as running, and 97 women signed the “insufficient” activity category.

There can be many other differences between the survivors of breast cancer who exercise regularly and those who do not exercise so the research team tried to take into account these factors – including age and types of cancer treatments to which women were subjected to and whether fatigue has disturbed them Or they had other medical cases or a date of depression.
Physical activity is still linked to a 60 % decrease in death during the study period..
