Egypt hosts a workshop for preparation for e -commerce for the countries of the region of the Global Postal Union

Egypt, represented by the Egyptian National Authority, hosts a workshop for preparation for e -commerce from the operational aspect of the countries of the Arab region, which is organized by the International Bureau of the World Postal Union from 20 to 22 November at the headquarters of the National Training Academy.

The hosting of a workshop comes within the framework of the constant pursuit of the Egyptian Post to support the implementation of the global postal union strategy that aims to build the capabilities of postal institutions, in addition to its keenness to support the activities of the International Bureau aimed at achieving the goals of Abidjan’s postal strategy and the cooperation policy of development for the period 2021-2025 which has been adopted At the twenty -seventh conference of the World Postal Union, which was held in August 2021 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

The project continues during the current session of the World Postal Union 2022-2025, and includes setting operational goals with the continuous measurement of progress made during the course through the performance performance indicators of the minimum operational, technical and organizational requirements for postal shipping services, the integration of supply chain, the quality of electronic data, and the reliability of the service From start to end (from the sent to the sent).

The workshops of the World Customs Organization will participate in the workshops to present the guidelines for countries to develop a memorandum of understanding between customs and postal institutions to facilitate the exchange of postal shipments.

A group of international experts in the field of transport, customs, e -commerce, compliance and postal security also participate, along with 39 trainees from 12 Arab countries: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Algeria, Palestine, Mauritania, Sudan, Jordan, the Sultanate of Oman, Libya, Tunisia and Lebanon.

The workshop is compatible with the global postal union strategy that aims to enhance international cooperation in building the capabilities of postal institutions for the operational readiness of e -commerce, improving the quality of postal service, and working to meet the needs of e -commerce customers from individuals and e -commerce platforms, and support young manufacturers from small and finished projects The small access to the global markets by providing high -quality shipping services at economic prices.
