Italy fell into the trap of defeat in front of its Austrian host, with a clean double, in the friendly match they gathered on Sunday evening, at the “Ernst Habel” stadium, as part of the preparations of the two teams to play the qualifiers for the 2024 European Nations Cup in Germany.
Kazafir Shalgar opened the scoring for Austria with the first goal, 6 minutes after the start of the meeting, and David Alaba added the second Austrian team in the 35th minute, from a wonderful shot, Italy’s goalkeeper Donaruma failed to address it.
The result continued as it was in the second half, amid attempts by the Italian team to return the result, but the Austrian team maintained its progress.
The formation of the Italian national team came as follows:
Goalkeeping: Donnaroma.
Defense: Gatti, Bonucci, Tshirbi and Lorenzo.
Center: Barilla, Ferrati and Marko.
The attack: Politano, Rasparadori and Griffo.
The Italian team won the Albania team 3-1, in the friendly meeting that brought them together last Wednesday evening.
