Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, participated in the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, which was held on the sidelines of the meetings of the Arab Transport Council of Ministers currently held at the headquarters of the Academy in Alexandria.
Jamal Rushdie, the spokesperson for the Secretary -General, stated that Aboul Gheit delivered a speech at the ceremony expressed his pride in participating in this joyful ceremony, which is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, President of the Republic, on the occasion of the fifty -year anniversary of the establishment of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
To the great development witnessed by her career thanks to the sincerity and determination of the founders from the late generation Jamal Mukhtar on the construction of a scientific edifice despite the many difficulties and the lack of means.
Aboul Gheit expressed his confidence that the future of the academy will undoubtedly be brighter and prosperous in light of the continuation of planning and rigor implementation, adding that he was a witness to the march of the development of the academy and the opening of new branches of it in both Egypt and the Emirates.
The spokesperson added that Aboul Gheit expressed his sincere thanks to Dr.
Ismail Abdel Ghaffar and through his generous person to all members of the academy and its teaching staff and its leadership for their efforts and hard work to follow this Arab organization for more prosperity and sophistication.
The Secretary -General said that the wealth of the Arab world is his youth who make up the major category of its population, and that the prosperity of our countries inevitably passes through investing in this wealth by training young people and refining their talents in line with the rapid developments witnessed by the world today in all fields.
It is worth noting in this regard that the celebration witnessed military offers presented by students of the academy colleges and a presentation on the successes that were achieved during the past five decades in the presence of the President of the Executive Council of the Academy and a number of Arab ministers and ambassadors and the invited personalities..
