“The vast majority of the parties in COP27 informed me that it considers the text a balanced and may lead to a possible penetration in order to agree.

He continued, “The parties must show their design and reach a consensus,” stressing that the proposed text “keeps the target of 1. 5 degrees Celsius. ”
The Paris Agreement on the climate, which is the basic stone in combating climate change, stipulated the goal of restricting warming without the two degrees Celsius, albeit up to 1. 5 degrees Celsius compared to the levels of the pre -industrial revolution.
At the climate conference last year in Glasgu, the participants pledged to keep this goal “alive” and the countries agreed to strengthen the goals of reducing carbon emissions annually.
In the context, the European Union stressed, on Saturday, that “failure to reach a conclusion” at the Conference of the Parties on the Climate (COB 27) in Sharm El -Sheikh is better than a bad agreement after its rejection of an Egyptian proposal considered that it lacks sufficient ambition regarding reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
