Spain sends a new batch of electricity generators to Ukraine

The Spanish government announced on Saturday that it had sent 14 generators to Ukraine, where Russian attacks caused the energy sector infrastructure by depriving many Ukrainians of current and hot water in the winter.
“We sent (Friday) a new batch of 14 electricity generators to face winter, which will be very harsh and very difficult in Ukraine,” Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albartrath said on the sidelines of a NATO parliamentary association in Madrid.

On Friday, the Ukrainian government requested “additional support” from the European Union, noting that more than half of the country’s energy sector’s energy infrastructure has been out of service due to large -scale Russian strikes targeting it since October.
On October 19, Madrid has previously sent five generators to Ukraine.

In addition, Madrid will send 30 additional ambulances and police reinforcements to help the Ukrainian authorities investigate war crimes that have been committed to their lands, according to Albartra..
