From the Middle East to Ukraine .. Iran is accused of bloodshed

At the annual Manama Dialogue Conference in Bahrain, the British Foreign Minister, James Cleverly, pledged on Saturday to work with the allies to “confront the Iranian threat”, accusing Iran of “bloodshed” from the Middle East to Ukraine.
Iran had acknowledged that it had sent drones to Russia, but it insisted that it had provided its ally before Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

“Iranian weapons threaten the entire region,” Cleverly said at the conference, noting that “the Iranian nuclear program today is more advanced than ever and the regime has resorted to Russia to sell armed drones that kill civilians in Ukraine. ”
The British Foreign Minister continued, “While their people demonstrate against decades of repression, Iran’s rulers are blood and destruction across the region and in remote areas such as Kyiv,” the British Foreign Minister continued.

He stressed that Britain is determined to work “along with our friends to confront the Iranian threat, prevent traditional weapons smuggling, and prevent the regime from having the ability of nuclear weapons. ”
A day after the European Commission President, Ursula von der Line, warned in Bahrain that the “spread of Iranian weapons” posed a threat to Europe, hinting to more sanctions against the Islamic Republic.

On Monday, the European Union imposed sanctions on more than 30 senior Iranian officials and organizations due to the ongoing campaign to suppress the demonstrators in the Islamic Republic and provide Russia with drones.
Tehran warned of a “proportional and firm” response to the European Union regarding expanded sanctions.
“There is no country fortified from the turmoil it causes in the markets or the damages it causes to global food security,” Cleverly said of Russia.

He continued, “Putin’s war causes more suffering for the Syrians and Yemenis who were already suffering from deprivation due to the state of humanitarian emergency, and the ordinary Lebanese trapped in an economic crisis. “.
