Egyptian Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar announced that the ministry has settled the law of organ transplantation, stressing the commitment to implement this law and spreading societal awareness of this file.
Abdel Ghaffar added during the founding conference of the Egyptian Society for Liver Transplantation, that Egypt is one of the leading countries in the field of medicine and therefore must be in leadership in all health and medical files, including organ transplantation.
He explained that in parallel with the establishment of the organ transplant center, there is a work on the ground from the mechanization and the development of cultivation mechanisms and other proactive procedures.
A number of female deputies of the Parliament’s Health Committee confirmed that the new amendments must take into account the spread of awareness and reassurance in the hearts of citizens to persuade them that the matter is a charity to save the life of another patient and give him the right to life.
He pointed out that the committee, when the discussion, will work hard to add organ donation in a field within the national number boxes to give people an opportunity to agree or not without forcing them.
