British Prime Minister: Sonak meets Zellinski on his first visit to Kyiv

British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak met Ukrainian President Voludmir Zellinski, for the first time since his election as Prime Minister of Britain.
The British Prime Minister (Downting Street) – according to the British “Sky News” channel – reported that Sonak arrived in Ukraine today on his first visit to Kyiv to meet with Zelinski to emphasize UK’s continuous support for Ukraine.

For his part, Zellinski said that “from the first days of the war, Ukraine and the United Kingdom were one of the strongest allies . . . and during today’s meeting we discussed the most important issues for our country and global security alike . . . together we are stronger and we will achieve the desired results.


Sonak posted through his official account on the document of communication “Twitter” a short video clip showing the Ukrainian president’s reception, and attached him to a tweet in which he wrote in both English and Ukrainian: “Britain knows what the struggle for freedom means” . .
