The Kuwaiti writer Talib Al -Rifai celebrated the writer of the desert, the great Libyan writer Ibrahim Al -Kouni, who is a guest of the activities of the Kuwait International Book Fair 2022, in its 45th session.

It is noteworthy that the 45th Kuwait International Book Fair started its activities with the participation of 29 Arab and foreign countries, 404 direct publications and 117 other posts through a power of attorney, and the director of the Book Exhibitions Department at the National Council for Culture, Arts and Literature, the director of the exhibition, Saad Al -Anzi – said in a press conference – The exhibition is held in a new suit after a two -year hiatus due to the Korona pandemic.
Al -Anzi also indicated that the exhibition is participating in 29 countries, including 18 Arabs and 11 foreigners, in addition to the participation of 404 direct publications and 117 other posts through a power of attorney to publish a participation in the exhibition, and that the number of books entered in the electronic index of the exhibition reached 230 thousand titles, The addresses may be shared more than the included number, indicating that there are approximately 28 thousand new addresses, including 5400 new addresses for the child.
The exhibition management chose the Republic of Italy as a guest of honor in a gesture to open up to the European Union countries and communicate with them culturally, civilizations, scientifically and literally, stressing the historical position of the Republic of Italy in culture, literature and civilizations.
The exhibition includes hundreds of books signing parties for the participants of a book from Kuwait and abroad, in addition to many cultural activities, children’s activities, etc.
, in cooperation with literary reading clubs and some civil society organizations, and 40 ministries and government agencies participate in the exhibition.
The Kuwait International Book Fair is considered one of the important Arab exhibitions and the second oldest Arab book exhibitions, as it started on the first of November 1975, and the Arab publishers are keen to participate in it.
It is also a station to meet Kuwaiti readers and residents of educated elites, which are keen to acquire all new local, Arab and foreign publications available in the exhibition..
