UN official: The scope of hunger in the world has increased 60 million people

Oleg Kubakov, director of communication with Russia at the FAO, reported that the scope of hunger has expanded in the world by about 60 million people in the past years, and the epidemic aggravated the problem of hunger and made it difficult to fight.
He said: “The general trend in these years until the year 2020, before the epidemic began when the crisis was not greatly felt, the scope of hunger expanded annually by 10 million people, and from 2013 to 2019 increased by 60 million people.

Yesterday, Kubakov reported that the “FAO” is considering Moscow’s proposal about the supply of half a million tons of grains for free to poor countries.

It is noteworthy that the export of the grains agreed upon by Russia, the United Nations, Turkey and Ukraine last July, to export Ukrainian grains through a safe corridor in the Black Sea with the inspection of all ships in Istanbul, in addition to guarantees regarding the export of agricultural products and Russian fertilizers to the global market.
