The Portuguese national team ended its preparations for the World Cup “Qatar 2022” with a landslide victory over Nigeria 4-0, despite the absence of its veteran captain Cristiano Ronaldo due to gastritis.
The European champion 2016 opened the scoring after great efforts from Manchester United, where Dugo Dalo passed a ball on a plate of gold for Brouno Fernandeish, who easily followed it inside the net in the ninth minute.
Fernandh doubled his country’s progress through a penalty kick by his team after a hand touch inside the area to score his second personal goal also in the 35th minute.
Nigeria missed the opportunity to reduce the result after Emmanuel Dennis missed a penalty, to return the Portuguese and reinforce their progress with two goals by Johnsalo Ramos and Joao Mario in the 82nd and 84th minutes.
Portugal will start its career in the World Cup next Thursday against Ghana, which has previously excluded Nigeria in the decisive round in the African qualifiers for the Qatari World Cup.
