The European Union has announced that it wants to ensure safe contacts for companies and citizens with a system of satellite.
Negotists from the European Parliament and member states agreed to create a satellite system called the infrastructure of flexibility, interconnection and security by satellite, or Iris 2 in short.
According to a statement, this system will cost about 2. 4 billion euros (2. 5 billion dollars) of the European Union budget in the coming years.
“This is historical!”.
Hence, the European Union adds a third component to its strategic satellite main satellite structures – to the Galileo Satellite Smation System and European Copernicus data used to monitor Earth.
“This program is an important step towards more strategic self -rule for Europe,” said Angelika Nepler, the conservative German member of the European Parliament.
