The Euphrates River faces what the Environmental Directorate in Anbar Governorate, in western Iraq, is considered an environmental disaster.
Those interested in environmental affairs issued warnings about the conditions of the Euphrates River, while the Environment Directorate has taken decisions targeting the Ramadi Dialogue Directorate.

The Messenger of Ibrahim Hamid, the official of the Urban Environment Division in the Environmental Directorate of Anbar, revealed that the sewage pipes of the “Ramadi” sewage poured their harmful contents, which are waste, pollutants and toxins, in the waters of the river that can be used by human and agricultural use.

The official also added, according to what was reported by the Iraqi News Agency, “conscious”, that pouring the sewage directorate for its waste in the Euphrates River would cause direct damage to the citizens.
“Hamid” explained that the Environment Directorate sent a number of warnings to the Ramadi Dialogue Directorate for violating the law, and it was imposed on it financial fines, stressing that the Environment Directorate has legal procedures as it is a supervisory body.
