Today, the door of the Venice Biennial Project for Architecture will be closed, where the jury will choose the best project among the advanced projects to represent Egypt in the Biennial, in its eighteenth session entitled “The Future Factory”, and the competition jury consists of this session from a group of architects and decorations of academics and practitioners, It is headed by Dr.
Dalila Al-Kurdani, Professor of Architecture and Urban Design- Faculty of Engineering- Cairo University, and membership of: Eng. Ibtisam Farid, Assistant Professor of Architecture and Dean of the Faculty of Design and Information- Coventry University, Insi Abu Seif, designer of decoration and cinematic views, Dr.
Ayman Hassan, Professor and Head of the Department of Architecture- College Engineering – Cairo University, and Sawsan Murad Ezz Al -Arab, editor -in -chief of Al -Bayt Magazine – Al -Ahram newspaper, Eng. Muhammad Al -Sayed Abu Saada, Chairman of the National Authority for Civilization Coordination.
The Biennial will be held in its eighteenth session from May twenty to the twenty -sixth of November 2023, and based on the interest of the Ministry of Culture in positive participation in the next session and believing in activating its role in caring for and supporting distinguished architectural works, it was decided to invite architects, and work teams “include various specializations and headed by an architect “For an open competition to choose the work representing Egypt’s wing in the eighteenth session.
The Venice Biennale is the most famous exhibition at the international level, and it is one of the most important exhibitions that represent the events of contemporary architecture, and the participating countries compete to show their best architectural works, so that each country is allocated a wing in which the works of its participants are presented.
And the Biennial Prizes are awarded international fame and merit to those who have obtained it, which is reflected in the winners and the countries they represent, and Egypt is one of the first countries to participate in the Biennial..
