Chinese President Xi Jinping said, in a speech today, Thursday, during a meeting of business leaders, on the eve of the summit of the Asian and Pacific countries (APEC) in Bangkok, that this region should not become a “square to compete between the great powers. ”
According to the speech published by the official Chinese news agency “Xinhua”, Shi said, in a clear reference to the United States, that the Asia-Pacific region is not a backyard for anyone.

Xi added that it will not be allowed to try to launch a “new cold war. ”
The Chinese president said that any attempt to disrupt or dismantle the industrial supply chains that have been established over many years in the Asia Pacific region will reach economic cooperation to a dead end. He pointed out that openness alone will lead to progress.
“We must build supply chains and stable industrial chains and without obstacle.


He explained that everyone should reject any attempt to politicize economic and commercial relations or use them as a weapon.
