Sol confirms continuing cooperation with the United Nations and the international community to hold Pyongyang accounting

South Korea confirmed today, Friday, the continuation of close cooperation with the United Nations and the international community to hold North Korea accountable for its provocations based on the strong cooperation between Seoul and Washington, and the continued cooperation between Korea, America and Japan.

The South Korean government condemned – in a statement reported by the South Korean News Agency (Yonhap) – the North Korea’s launch of a refinable ballistic missile this morning, considering it a clear violation of the UN Security Council resolutions and provocative work that undermines peace and stability in the Korean peninsula.

She explained that any action related to North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs banned under the Security Council resolutions cannot be justified for any reason, warning that South Korea has a tremendous ability to prepare for any provocation from the north and North Korea should not mistake the accounts.

The Soul government indicated that North Korea will witness the exacerbation of international isolation and sanctions, calling for immediately stopping its provocations and accepting the bold initiative aimed at helping to develop the northern economy in exchange for nuclear disarmament steps.
North Korea had launched this morning an ICBM from an area near Sun, Biong Yang heading towards the East Sea..
