Pentagon: North Korea missile launch destabilizing the region

A Pentagon spokeswoman (Pentagon) confirmed on Thursday that North Korea’s missile launch continues to destabilize the region, after Pyongyang resumed its ballistic missile tests.
“The launch of these ballistic missiles is still destabilizing, and if they continue to do so, this will increase the destabilization of the region,” said a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Sabrina Singh, in a press statement.
“Our commitment is still strong to South Korea and Japan.

“We will always defend our allies and partners around the world, especially in the region, and North Korea has called us to stop launching ballistic missiles,” Singh said.
North Korea launched a short -range ballistic missile at the East Sea earlier on Thursday in its latest military provocation, which came after an eight -day hiatus.
The US State Department condemned the recent North Korean missile experience, describing it as a threat to the region and the international community.

Pyongyang has conducted a record number of missile tests this year, firing more than 50 short -range missiles since September 25..
