Keylor Navas, Costa Rica goalkeeper, explained why his country did not play Iraq’s friendly match in a final confrontation before the start of the 2022 World Cup.

Navas revealed through his account on the social networking site “Instagram” the reason for canceling the match, saying: “After traveling by the bus for eight hours, unfortunately and because of circumstances beyond the will of the players, we were unable to play the friendly match against Iraq. ”

For its part, the Qatar “BN Sports” network explained that the Iraq and Costa Rica match was canceled due to the Costa Rican national team’s refusal to conclude its passports when entering Iraqi territory.
The Costa Rica team is in the Fifth Group of the 2022 World Cup, which includes the teams of Spain, Germany and Japan..
